Oct. 18, Wednesday -- Biotech executives, investors and 51³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÍø researchers will gather at Bio Summit 2006 to discuss the future of the biotech industry and look at innovation and entrepreneurship across the greater Sacramento region. The keynote address will be given by Jane Lebkowski, senior vice president of research for Geron Corp., on how stem cells are being used for therapeutic medicines. Other topics will include investing in the frontiers of human health and biotech research initiatives at 51³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÍø. The summit will be held in 51³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÍø' Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is organized by TechCoire, a business education and networking organization, and 51³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÍø CONNECT, which promotes entrepreneurship and business development in the 51³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÍø community.
