51�Թϱ�� Medal Will Go to Bruce West

51�Թϱ��, Davis, Chancellor Gary S. May announced today (Feb. 7) he will award the 51�Թϱ�� Medal to alumnus Bruce West, chair of the 51�Թϱ�� Foundation Board and a member of the Chancellor’s Board of Advisors.

The chancellor made the surprise announcement at a foundation board meeting this morning. “I’m pleased to say that the 2020 recipient of the 51�Թϱ�� Medal is right here in the room,” May said as he turned to West.

Richard C. “Dick” Dorf, professor emeritus in the Graduate School of Management and in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the 51�Թϱ��, Davis, has been awarded the 51�Թϱ�� Medal in recognition of his contributions to 51�Թϱ�� and to the fields of engineering, entrepreneurship and technology management.
