The 51�Թϱ��, Davis, Office of Strategic Communications and 51�Թϱ�� Health Public Affairs and Marketing received 24 awards in a national competition for educational advertising and digital marketing, as announced last week by Educational Advertising Awards.

The 51�Թϱ��, Davis, is raising its profile across the nation with a multimedia campaign showcasing the kinds of research and advocacy that are propelling the university to new heights.

Launching today (Nov. 8), the campaign called “Outgrow the Expected” features digital ads, videos and even 51�Թϱ��-branded liners in the bins that travelers use when passing through security at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

51�Թϱ�� is growing, and it’s doing it together.

About 1,000 members of the campus community united last week under a new rallying cry for the university — “Outgrow the Expected” — and heard how that mantra affects more than just the campus leaders who took to the stages in Davis and in Sacramento.

“It’s an all-hands-on-deck moment for us,” Chancellor Gary S. May told the crowd in The Pavilion at the Activities and Recreation Center.

and soon stomps the water from her boots in front of the library
where she beholds the phalanxes of parked bicycles.
She sees bicycles, but imagines lattices, covalent bonds, or suspension bridges.
She is making comparisons, making references.
In her head, she imagines growing her own buildings,
or growing trees as tall as our cork oaks, stretching into the sky.
